Stay Fit From Home

It’s time to put the excuses behind us, get up, and get active! Physical activity is incredibly powerful and something that we should look forward to. Pre-COVID I had a consistent gym routine, but once the gyms closed I found myself feeling a little lost. Who's with me!? It was very challenging to go from working out 5-6 days in the gym each week using fancy equipment to being home with limited space, a coffee table for a bench, and a couple of dumbbells! But, then I realized I was making excuses! Exercise should relieve stress, not cause it! So, let’s get back to the basics, and get our sweat on regardless of whether we’re in the gym or kicking it at home.
Here is a quick full-body workout! It’s equipment free, requires limited space, and is sure to get your heart pumping. I love throwing in workouts like these when I’m pressed for time or need a quick wake-up before my next Zoom meeting! I hope you’ll enjoy it too and be inspired to get up and move!
Now for the FUN! Set your timer for 20 minutes and try to complete as many laps as possible of the exercises below before time runs out! BONUS: Grab a housemate and make it a friendly competition...loser cooks dinner!
The Moves:
1.) 16 - Squats with alternating X toe taps
2.) 12 - Bear walk-outs with push-ups
3.) 20 - Ab hold with leg flutters
4.) 12 - Single leg runner’s lunge jumps (each leg)
5.) 10 - Side shuffles with frog jumps (10 jumps total)
What are you waiting for? Let’s get our sweat on!
I hope you enjoy this quick workout and have some fun with it. There’s no need to feel bogged down by gym closures and complicated schedules...we can challenge ourselves right from home!
Stay strong & take care,
Jaelen xo
